Ross MacDonald

Ross
recently chose to settle in the Columbia Valley - drawn by the vistas, the
wildlife, its history; and the fact that the valley has more kindred
spirits per square kilometre than any place he has discovered so far. He
is energized by seeing the linkages between people and the environment
through time. Ross has sought to illustrate the human/land connection in
his work for national parks and historic sites. He enjoys planting the
seeds to big ideas believing in Thoreau's statement - "Build your
castles in the sky. That's where they belong. The hard work is building
the foundation." Ross points to the Wings festival as an example of
how an exciting dream has inspired lots of people and rippled into many
new initiatives. When not evangilizing dreams, Ross enjoys kayaking,
photography, wildlife watching, desktop publishing and viewing foreign
films. |
