This year Wings Over the Rockies is promoting "Citizens for Science" where the public not only enjoys watching birds but gathers valuable information for bird conservation.

Wings is proud to feature Dick Cannings an active naturalist, conservationist, writer, broadcaster and scientist since his childhood days where he roamed the wild places of the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia.

Dick is also involved with the BC Breeding Bird Atlas which over the next 5 yaears will determine the distribution and relative abundance of birds across British Columbia.
